This page allows you to modify the details of the request selected in the “Select Work Request” page. Tell me more.
Select the hyperlinked work request from the multiline of the “Select Work Request” page.
The “Edit Work Request” page appears.
The system displays the following details in the header.
Workflow Status |
The status of the document as per the workflow applicability. |
If you wish to modify a request other than the request selected in the previous page, enter the following fields in Work request group box:
Work Request |
The request you wish to modify (Alphanumeric, 18). |
Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the details of the work request. | |

Date |
The date on which the request was created. |
Status |
The system displays “Fresh” as the status of the request. |
Enter the following fields if you wish to modify the details of the selected request:

Use the drop-down list box to modify the mode of closure of the request. |

Note: The system allows you to modify this field depending on the option set in the “Auto Closing” field in the “Options” activity
Type |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the type of the request. The system lists all the types that have been defined in the “Define WO Types” activity and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank if you do not wish to specify any work request type. |
Category |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the category to which the request belongs. The system lists all the categories that have been defined in the “Define WO Categories” activity and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify any work request category. |
Priority |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the priority to be assigned to the request. Priority indicates the level of importance that is assigned to the request. The system lists all the priorities that have been defined in the “Define Priority“ activity of the “Maintenance Organization“ business component, which are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify any priority. |
Enter the following fields in the “Eqp. / Loc. and Problem” group box:

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the work request has to be raised on equipment or location. The system provides the options: “Equipment” and “Location”. |
Code |
The equipment or location for which the work request is being modified (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. If you are entering the equipment code, ensure that it has already been defined in the “Create Equipment“ activity of the “Equipment Induction“ business component. If you are entering a location code, ensure that it has already been defined in the “Create Location“ activity of the “Maintenance Organization“ business component and also belongs to the primary system. |

Problem |
The problem for which the request was created (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the problem code is already defined in the “Create Problem Codes “ activity of the “Trouble Shooting Guide“ business component and is in the “Active” status. |

Location

If the request has been created for equipment, the system displays the location of the equipment. If the request has been created for a location, the system displays the location that you have specified in the “Code” field. |

The employee ID of the user who reported the problem for which the work request was created (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the employee is already created in the "Employee Induction" business component of Ramco Human Resources Management Solution. |

Work Group |
The work group, which is expected to carry out the corrective action on the work order that is raised on the request (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the work group is already defined in the “Create Work Group” activity of the “Work Group” business component and is in the “Active” status. |

Note: This work group will be defaulted in the work order(s), created from this work request.
Work Phone |
The contact information of the person who can provide details about the request that is being modified (Alphanumeric, 150). |
Eqp. Condition |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate the condition of the equipment. The system fills in this field all the user-defined equipment conditions that have been defined in the “Define Equipment Conditions” activity of the “Equipment Induction” business component and are in the “Active” status. |
Obs. Date |
The date on which the problem on the equipment or location was observed (Date Format). |
Enter the time at which the problem on the equipment was observed, in the edit box alongside (Time Format). | |
Target Date |
The date by which the corrective action is expected to be completed (Date Format). |
Enter the time by which the corrective action is expected to complete, in the edit box alongside (Time Format). |
Click the “Cancel Request” pushbutton if you wish to cancel the request.
Note: The system cancels the work request and sets the status of the request to “Canceled”.
Click the “Edit” pushbutton to update the modified details of the request.
Click the “Print” pushbutton to print the work request details.
When the Print task is executed without the Work request number, then the system will throw an error message .
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:
Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the request. |
Created Date |
The date and time at which the request was created. |
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the request. |
Last Modified Date |
The date and time at which the request was last modified. |
You can edit all the details of the work request except the location of the equipment and the status.
You can cancel a work request in this page. On cancellation, the system sets the status of the work request as “Canceled”.
Enter any remarks pertaining to the cancellation of the work request in the “Remarks” field.
Click the “Cancel Request” pushbutton to cancel the request.
The system cancels the work request and sets the status of the request as “Canceled”.
Edit Work Request – An overview
This page allows you to modify the details of the request selected in the “Select Work Request” page. The system also allows you to directly enter a request other than the request selected in the previous page, and retrieve its details for modification. The following details of the request can be modified:
The description of the request
The maintainnable object which can be equipment or location, on which the request was created and its code
The employee ID of the user who reported the problem for which the request was created
The type, priority and category of the request
The mode of closure of the request
Note: The mode of closure of the request can be modified depending on the option set in the “Auto Closing” field in the “Options” activity.
The problem for which the request was created
The work group that is expected to carry out the corrective action on the work order raised based on the request
The condition of the equipment, the date and time when the problem was observed and the target date and time within which the corrective action has to be completed
The contact information and any other additional information relevant to the request
The system sets the current date as the modified date and stores the name of the currently logged-on user in the record statistics.
