Work Request – An overview

Introduction

The “Work Request” business component allows the user to create requests for carrying out maintenance activities on equipment/location. A request is a document that is used to report and register a request for maintenance by an employee, encountering a specific problem on the equipment, to the respective planning group or planner. The planner in turn raises a work order based on the request to initiate appropriate action for restoration of the faulty equipment. This business component also enables you to process a request, reverse a request and close a request.
